A San Antonio high school teacher was arrested Wednesday after allegedly having about 20 sexual encounters with a 16-year-old student, the San Antonio Express-News reported on its website.
The victim told police she was in a relationship with 44-year-old Jose Eduardo Hernandez, her teacher and coach, between January and September 2019. The arrest affidavit said Hernandez would have the student skip class and would then drive her to a local motel where they would have sex. The affidavit doesn’t say at which school he is employed, the website reported.
Hernandez allegedly took photos and videos of the sex acts, which he sent to the victim through the social media app Snapchat. The victim gave that material to police after coming forward on Jan. 10, the newspaper reported.
Hernandez was charged with sexual assault of a child and an improper relationship between an educator and a student and was being held on an $80,000 bond, the story said.
