The money collected from a citizen-funded drainage fee meant to protect Houston against flooding is being diverted to salaries and other projects, according to documents and an interview with a city leader.

A couple who retired to a little farm northwest of College Station is suing the Texas Department of State Health Services to broaden the official, government-sanctioned definition of a pickle.

The Harris County Attorney is pushing back on releasing the voting records of noncitizens, arguing in a recent court filing that those records should not be made public, even though federal law states they should be.

Former Congressman Blake Farenthold made the list of disgraced former members of Capitol Hill who have moved on to other employment opportunities, but even his new job has come with plenty of controversy.
