Dallas schools investigating bus driver who wouldn’t let student board on busy road

The Dallas school district is investigating an incident in which a bus driver wouldn’t let a student board the vehicle as he stood on a busy road, WFAA reported.

A video posted on Facebook Tuesday morning shows a student standing in front of the bus on Spring Valley Road. The bus doesn’t stop as the student backs up. A man who was driving down the road pulls over, gets out of his car, and bangs on the bus, telling the driver to stop, the TV station reported.

The student also asks the driver to open the door as he moves to the side of the bus, but the bus driver continues down the road. The man who intervened called police to report the driver.

The Dallas school district told WFAA it is investigating the incident and that the driver, who was not named, will not drive a district bus during the investigation.

“We’re aware of the video, looking into it, and will take corrective action,” spokeswoman Robyn Harris told the TV station.
